How does ClaryBook handle depreciation?
Each property has a depreciation schedule with basis, in-service date, and method. Monthly depreciation entries hit the ledger automatically. The Schedule E export shows the year's depreciation per property pre-filled. You stay in control of cost-segregation studies and §179 elections — those still flow through your prep workflow.
What if my client already uses QuickBooks?
Most CPAs we talk to keep QBO for their S-corp and operating-business clients. ClaryBook is for the same client's Schedule E rental work, where QBO is overkill and the client won't actually use it. The two coexist.
How is the 10% commission paid?
Stripe Connect, monthly, on the 7th for the prior month. Standard SaaS rev-share mechanics — refunds claw back commission within the 30-day window, after that it's yours. We issue a 1099-NEC annually if your commissions exceed $600.
Can I white-label the entire product?
Not yet. Partner Mode v1 is co-branded — your logo on every export and signup page, ClaryBook stays visible. Full white-label is on the roadmap for high-volume partners. If white-label is a hard requirement for you, tell us in the demo.
Who owns the client data?
The client. Full export available anytime as CSV, PDF, or ZIP — even if they cancel, even if you stop being a partner. ClaryBook is software; you and your client are the parties of record.
