The problem

Most small business owners, landlords, and freelancers hate bookkeeping. They stuff receipts in shoeboxes, forget to log mileage, and scramble at tax time. The tools that exist — QuickBooks, FreshBooks, Wave — were designed for accountants, not for people who'd rather never think about bookkeeping at all.

Our approach

ClaryBook meets you where you already are: a messaging app. Instead of learning accounting software, you text a photo of your receipt. AI extracts the vendor, amount, date, and category. Your mileage? Text your trip. Hours? Text them too.

When tax time comes, your books are already done. Your CPA gets clean Schedule E reports, mileage logs, and categorized expenses — without you ever opening a spreadsheet.

ClaryBook is built by Vincent van 't Verlaat, a software engineer and rental property owner who got tired of his own bookkeeping mess. What started as a personal Telegram bot grew into a full bookkeeping platform serving small business owners across the US and Netherlands.
