Delete Your Account

You can delete your ClaryBook account and its associated data at any time. Deletion is self-service and takes effect immediately — no email to support is required, though we are happy to help if you prefer.

How to delete your account

In the ClaryBook app (Android or iOS) or web app:

1. Open Settings.
2. Tap Delete Account.
3. Confirm with your password.

Your account is then permanently deleted. If you cannot access the app, email hello@clarybook.com from the address on your account and we will process the deletion for you.

What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes your personal and business financial data, including:

• Your profile (name, email) and login credentials
• Expenses, income, and imported bank-transaction data
• Receipt images and other uploaded files
• Mileage trips and hours worked
• Projects, properties, contractors, and recurring income
• Chat history and category preferences
• Any linked Telegram conversation state

What is retained

For security, fraud-prevention, and legal-compliance purposes, we keep a minimal record of the deletion (your email address, the deletion date, and record counts). This record contains no financial data and is not used to contact you. Where the law requires us to retain certain records for a defined period, we keep only what is legally required and delete it when the period ends.

Deleting some data without closing your account

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove data. Inside the app you can delete individual expenses, income entries, receipts, mileage trips, and other records at any time. You can also export all of your data from your account settings before deleting anything.
